The Shifting of the Ways is a six-book series set on the continent of Shai'neer. It is a world where dragons are extinct and one race mistrusts the rest. The Dark Lord, Ail'Sian, was imprisoned at the end of the Second Age, locked away with ancient magic. But now those Weaves are failing and the Shadow gathers its strength for one final devastating blow.
It is said that whenever the world is on the brink of annihilation, the gods send the mythical Hai'bregal to Shift the Ways of Time to a path that ensures victory against the Shadow. Yet who these Shifters are, where they are hiding, no-one seems to know. If the Hai'bregal cannot learn of their destinies and unite the races under one banner in time, then Ail'Sian will wipe the fractured forces of Light away in one fell swoop and only Shadow will remain.

The Black Stone
When five strangers with no recollection of who they are or where they came from are forced together, they learn they are the rumoured and revered Hai'bregal - Shifters of the Ways of the Time.
Facing powerful enemies and crossing a dangerous land, the Hai'bregal must muster a courage they never knew they had and find a way to bring together the warring races of man, elf, dwarf, magi, and more.
With time running short, the strangers must learn their place in the world and bring about a Shifting of the Ways - a change in the way the very course of the world runs.
Rise of the Shadow
The Shadow continues to grow in strength beyond the Mountains of Shadow and the Dark Lord's most elite close in on the scattered Shifters.
Luila and Aradan attempt to unite the kingdoms of Bryo'Canida and Sechan, whilst Jai and Wyll hunt the fabled Scroll of Ish'aktah. Rayan, meanwhile, must decide what to do next as the Shadow tightens its grip on the kingdom of Dara.
The Prophecies are slowly being fulfilled but with war brewing beyond the Mountains of Shadow and civil war growing between the kindoms of man, can the Hai'bregal unite the races before the hammer of war falls?

The Shadows grows stronger with every passing day, whilst the Hai'bregal struggle to fulfil the ancient prophecies and reform the Suladamon Alliance.
Luila and Aradan must brave the winter snows and find a way to end the Bandit King's tyrannical rule. Jai frantically tries to balance his magical training, his worry of Wyll, and continue his hunt for the Scoll, whilst Wyll slowly succumbs to the taint of evil inflicted upon him.
Rayan, ventures deep into the heart of dwarvendom to barter for the Phoenix Banner. But, with an army of Shadow-Dwarves in deadly pursuit, the price of the Banner may mean his life.

SHAI'NEER
Shai'neer is one of the larger continents on Yanavaria - a world that is roughly 60% ocean, 40% land. It sits below the equator and is mostly a temperate climate.
It is home to a number of races including (but not limited to) humans, elves, dwarves, gasig, korrgaen, and ioilaer, and there are a number of unique monsters such as the shriekers and the daaedranon.
The magic system on Shai'neer is known as Weaving.
